What is Barre?
Barre is a functional training technique that merges movements from ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training. Its goal is to improve full-body muscle tone and flexibility, working both vertically and horizontally using a ballet barre and mats. You'll feel yourself sculpting and strengthening every muscle.
Which class do you recommend for me?
At Société Barre, we offer four types of classes. While all are Barre, each has a distinct focus:
Tone: For muscle toning.
Sweat: For cardiovascular training.
Flex: To improve flexibility.
Ballet: For postural correction.
All our classes are suitable for all levels, and the best way to get a complete workout is to combine them. Discover your favorite, or dare to try them all!
Can I do Barre if I have no prior Ballet experience?
Absolutely! To enjoy Barre, prior ballet knowledge is not required. In our classes, we'll gradually introduce technical ballet vocabulary that you'll learn with us. We use ballet postures, and our instructors will correct your leg and arm positions to ensure you're working correctly. You'll be surprised how quickly you adapt!
How can I book a class?
Bookings are made directly from our website. Simply go to the bookings section, find the day you wish to come to the studio, and check class availability. Once you've selected your desired class, you can either purchase a credit or, if you've already bought a pack, use your pre-paid events.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, you can! Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel your booking up to 12 hours before the class begins. If you cancel within this timeframe, your credit will be returned to your account for you to use on another class at your convenience.
If you cancel the class less than 12 hours before its start time, unfortunately, the credit will not be re-credited to your account.
I've joined a waiting list, can I still come to class?
If you're on a waiting list, it means the class is full. Should someone cancel their spot 14 hours before the class starts, you will be automatically notified by email that you've been enrolled. If you then decide you cannot attend, you can cancel the class up to 12 hours before to recover your credit.

Can I visit the studio to ask questions?
Absolutely! You'll find us at the studio 10 minutes before any class starts and 10 minutes after it ends.

Can I buy a gift card?
Yes! You can purchase a class pack or credits for someone else directly from our website. When you're checking out, simply select the box: "Gift this to a friend". To complete the process, fill in the details, including the email address of the person you'd like to gift Société Barre classes to.
